RateMyBookCover.com was conceived of and designed by book publishing company Greenleaf Book Group of Austin TX. Greenleaf is a fast growing and forward-looking company that specializes in publishing and distribution of books for authors and small presses.
Colophon took the Greenleaf concept and programmed a robust voting system that includes member accounts, a random book cover display system and a robust content management system to control the site.
The server engine that drives this small web application is ColdFusion 8.0. Colophon provides ColdFusion web hosting plans for small business websites. Adobe purchased the Macromedia company in 2005 is a move that made them a web publishing giant. Since being aquired by Adobe ColdFusion had been steadily improving as a fast, robust rapid web development tool.
Colophon New Media specializes in ColdFusion programming. Our small, highly experienced development team programmed RateMyBookCover.com to be easy to use and effective at gathering and storing data collected on the site.
