MBT Lighting and Sound is a musical equipment distributer that is owned by Kaman Corporation. Kaman sales in 2005 totaled $1.1 billion. MusiCorp contracted CNM to re-develop their mbtlighting.com website. Working directly with Musicorp's marketing team, CNM created a ColdFusion-based website that is attractive and easy-to-use and technically advanced. The design of the website was created by Daniel Tetrault, Marketing Coordinator of Musicorp. Dan’s design was integrated with the Colophon’s programming.
The site features a fast and efficient MS SQL database that serves thousands of records of products, dealers, videos and images. Providing customers and retail dealers with pertinent information is a main objective of the new site. A dealer search feature allow users to quickly identify the type of service they need and even search by zip code. Also included is a dynamic news system, a category grouping feature and a complete support area.
Content for the site is controlled through a central, custom-built control center called Site_Manager 2.0. Site_Manager is a tool developed by Colophon and installed with custome components according to the specific requirements of Musicorp.
Colophon New Media also provides Musicorp with web hosting and maintenance for the mbtlighting.com website.
